The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted the judoka team that won medals at the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games.

The Prime Minister said that “Judo has shown us what Kosovo can achieve when talent is accompanied by long-term work, professionalism and high standards”.
“Congratulations once again to the athletes, Grand Master Driton Kuka, coaches Majlinda Kelmendi and Fatos Tabaku and the entire judo team”, said Prime Minister Kurti.
From Taranto, Laura Fazliu returned with a silver medal, while Akil Gjakova, Flaka Loxha, Fatjona Kasapi and Shpati Zekaj returned with bronze medals.
