Prishtina, 27 August, 2026
The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received the Ambassador of the Republic of France, Olivier Guérot, in a farewell meeting, on the occasion of the end of his mandate.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked him for his service and valuable contribution to strengthening relations between the two countries.
“The partnership between Kosovo and France has developed continuously, while this year our cooperation has been further concretized. The meeting and working lunch with President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in March, and then the visit of the Minister Delegate for Europe, Benjamin Haddad, to Kosovo in July, were concretized with five agreements and instruments that advance cooperation in justice, education and Francophonie, as well as the financial and institutional partnership for the organization of the Mediterranean Games Prishtina 2030”, said the Prime Minister.
He stressed that these results constitute an important basis for the further deepening of relations between our two countries and for the expansion of cooperation in areas of common interest. He added that France is an important ally and partner of Kosovo and its support for our European path and Euro-Atlantic integration remains of particular importance. Prime Minister Kurti wished Ambassador Guérot success in his future engagements and a warm welcome to Kosovo.
