The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received former Federal Republic of Germany Defense Minister Rudolf Scharping, who served in this position from 1998-2002.
Thanking him for his vital role and valuable contribution in coordinating Germany’s political and military actions with other NATO intervention states in 1999, Prime Minister Kurti said that former Minister Scharping stood by the Albanian people of Kosovo when they needed him most.
“The denunciation of the “Horseshoe” plan, as well as the murders, massacres, ethnic cleansing and genocide of Serbia against Albanians in the last war in Kosovo, in addition to the insistence in insisting for NATO intervention, are positions that place the former German Defense Minister, Rudolf Scharping, on the right side of history forever,” said the prime minister.
In the book “Wir dürfen nicht wegsehen: Der Kosovo-Krieg und Europa,” which includes a diary with memoirs, he documents the suffering of Albanians and the monstrous crimes of Slobodan Milošević’s regime.
