The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received the gold medal winner in boxing at the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games, Donjeta Sadiku.
Expressing his pride, Prime Minister Kurti congratulated her on the gold medal and thanked her for the worthy representation of the Republic of Kosovo in this international competition in Italy.
“I welcomed Donjeta from Taranto today in my office. She told me that she dedicated the gold medal to Kosovo, and I sincerely thanked her for her unstoppable work and unparalleled commitment to the sport of boxing. We will remember the victory at the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games for a long time, because it is historic,” said the Prime Minister.
He added that “while Donjeta, together with her coach, Marjola Sallauka, are immediately preparing for the European Championship to be held next month, we also jointly discussed the medals of the Prishtina 2030 Mediterranean Games.”
