“Dear students, you are now ready to serve with determination for the economic, legal, cultural, technological, touristic and agricultural development in Peja, and throughout Kosovo. Now, with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills you have acquired, it is up to you to build the future. Do not forget your roots here, in this university, in your city. Wherever your path in life takes you, your birthplace and the university of your studies remain the place where your knowledge, talent and dedication leave a great mark.”, he said.

The graduates are from five academic units of “Haxhi Zeka” University: Faculty of Business, Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality and Environmental Management, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Agribusiness and Faculty of Arts.
Full speech of Acting Prime Minister Kurti:
Honorable Mr. Hajrulla Çeku, Minister of Education and Science,
Honorable Rector, Professor Armand Krasniqi,
Honorable former Minister Arbërie Nagavci and former Deputy Minister Taulant Kelmendi,
Honorable members of the Governing Council,
Honorable academic and administrative staff,
Dear graduates of “Haxhi Zeka” University,
Honorable attendees,
Ladies and gentlemen,
I feel honored to participate with you today in such a special moment for nearly 200 students who are graduating from the five academic units at the “Haxhi Zeka” University in Peja (Faculty of Business, Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality and Environmental Management, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Agribusiness and Faculty of Arts).
“Haxhi Zeka” University has made good steps towards improving academic performance. With study programs at Bachelor, Master, and even Doctorate levels in the field of Business and Economics, as the only other public University after the University of Pristina “Hasan Prishtina”. We are therefore witnesses of an innovative spirit and a joint commitment to even higher quality education.
The government is investing now so that the future of students is as bright as possible, starting from modernized curricula or plans, increasing international partnerships, and investments in infrastructure. The new building of the Faculty of Business and Tourism Management worth 5 million euros, as well as the allocation of 3.5 million euros for the building of the Business Incubator, are proof of our commitment to offer you better environments for study conditions and creative skills. We build spaces, and you, dear students, should use them for the development of sustainable enterprises and as a participation in economic progress.
And, today from Peja I want to inform you that our new mandate, which will start soon, will also be a mandate for the restructuring of higher education. Universities must have clear profiles, budgeting must be based on performance, study programs must be linked to state priorities and industry, while diplomas must necessarily translate into the workplace.
In this regard, one of our commitments will also be to provide additional income on the basic salary for professors. Through the restructuring of the science fund and the strengthening of university institutes, professors will be given opportunities for additional income through scientific work, professional services, and international cooperation projects.
And you, dear parents,
Today your children are graduating, and the years of your patience and support are being crowned. Behind every student who receives their diploma tonight, there are parents who have believed, encouraged and been there for every challenge and every achievement. The success of your children also bears the stamp of your contribution as parents.
Honorable professors,
The graduation of your students is a pride of your dedicated work. Beyond regular lectures and exam schedules, you have shared knowledge, encouraged critical thinking and shaped generations that will contribute to society. The responsibility you bear on your shoulders is great. We are grateful that you continue to be guides, mentors and inspirations on the students’ path to their future successes.
Dear students, you are now ready to serve with determination for the economic, legal, cultural, technological, touristic and agricultural development in Peja, and throughout Kosovo.
Now with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills you have acquired, it is up to you to build the future. Do not forget your roots here, in this university, in your city. Wherever your path in life takes you, your birthplace and the university of your studies remain the place where your knowledge, talent and dedication leave a great mark.
I wish you much success in your professional and personal journey. You are only in the first steps of your career, so move without stopping. Your government will be by your side and with you.
Thank you.
