The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with colleagues from the government cabinet, received a delegation led by the head of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, and the head of the European Union Military Committee, General Sean Clancy.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude for NATO’s continued commitment and dedication to peace, stability and prevention in Kosovo and the Western Balkans, while saying that the role of KFOR remains essential not only for the security of the country, but also for the entire region.
Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that, for Kosovo, NATO is not only a guarantor of security, but also a strategic orientation and destination. In the context of the European integration process, he said that in addition to the accession policy, importance should also be given to the desire for membership.
After speaking about increasing the level of security in the country, with an emphasis on the north, in a regional context the Prime Minister mentioned the destabilizing intentions of Serbia supported by Russia.
Prime Minister Kurti also emphasized the close cooperation of the Kosovo Security Force with NATO.
