The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with the Italian Ambassador, Maurizio Antonini, who extended congratulations on the election of the President.
The meeting focused on the completion of the process of forming and operationalizing institutions, as well as shifting full attention to the work program and development plans.
In addition to current events—including the September 16 ruling in The Hague regarding former KLA leaders—discussions covered the European integration process, Italy’s role, and the importance of its support in advancing Kosovo’s status to that of a candidate country for European Union membership.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed gratitude to Italy for its support and contributions to the development of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as to security and stability in the country and the region. He also outlined intentions to expand cooperation across all sectors of mutual interest, including sports.
