During an official visit to Brussels, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi met the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Štefan Füle.

In the meeting, recent steps made by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in speeding up the European integration agenda were discussed.

In this context, Prime Minister Thaçi emphasized that the Feasibility Study is an important step marking the progress of the European perspective of the Republic of Kosovo and is the first concrete and united step, supporting the state of Kosovo.

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo will continue its commitment to fulfilling all criteria and European standards of integration, so that the process of visa liberalization becomes a reality as soon as possible – stressed Prime Minister Thaçi.

The EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Štefan Füle congratulated the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi for his just European approach in relation to regional cooperation. Mr. Füle stressed that Kosovo’s institutions will have all the necessary support in the process of Kosovo’s European integration.

Today in Brussels, Prime Minister Thaçi met the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanovic, as well as the Euro deputies Eduard Kukan and Ulrike Lunacek.

In these meetings, Prishtina was congratulated on its position opening up Kosovo’s European perspective and that of the region and support was given to the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for the process of fulfilling the European agenda for Kosovo.
