Hanover, 25 April, 2024
During his stay in Hanover, where he participated in the “Hannover Messe 2024” fair, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the ambassador of Kosovo in Germany, Faruk Ajeti, yesterday in the evening met members of the diaspora there, with who talked about their involvement in Kosovo society, participation in the population census, the European elections in June of this year and other topics of interest.
First, Prime Minister Kurti informed them about the latest developments in the country, and the results of the government for more than three years, and the social and development policies of the government, including those of youth employment and the connection of education with the labor market inspired from the dual education models that we find precisely in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Taking into account the progress that the country has made in democratic and economic indicators, and taking into account the participation in the “Hannover Messe 2024” fair, the Prime Minister invited and encouraged the diaspora to invest in Kosovo. He called on those who have businesses in Germany to open branches in Kosovo, where favorable conditions for investment are offered.
At the time when the population, household and housing census process is underway, the prime minister took the opportunity to remind and invite the emigrants to register through the online platform ediaspora.rks-gov.net until May 17. He emphasized that this process allows us to know how much we have the diaspora and is decisive for the development policies of the next decade.
Meanwhile, regarding the European elections of June 9, the prime minister ordered all those who are citizens of the European Union states to exercise their right to vote and to be participants in the democratic processes of their countries and of the European continent.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked all the participants for the warm hospitality in Hanover, for their active interest in the developments in their country and for the continuous contribution and great work that each member of the diaspora has done and continues to do over the years for Kosovo, without stopping.
