Today, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with the head of the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and the deputy, Saša Magazinović, whom he welcomed to Kosovo and expressed his satisfaction to receive him and talk discuss together.
He thanked him for his continuous support for Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe. He added that membership in the Council of Europe remains a priority of our foreign and domestic policy, given that joining this important organization and institution provides a framework and additional guarantees for the protection of minority rights.
The Prime Minister stated that Kosovo continues to be maximally committed to regional cooperation and the path towards the EU of the countries of the region, where he expressed his support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in overcoming the institutional barriers in this direction and underlined Kosovo’s request for membership, for which is why we welcome the obtaining of the questionnaire and further the status of the candidate country, as the only country in the region that still does not enjoy this status.
Furthermore, they also talked about the current political developments in the country and the region and the importance of the cooperation of the social-democratic forces, for more development, well-being and comprehensive regional progress. Prime Minister Kurti thanked Mr. Magazinović for today’s visit and meeting, contribution and exchange.
