The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met today with the members of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce.
This Chamber of Commerce has 230 member companies that realize a turnover of 4 billion Euros per year and employ over 35 thousand workers.
The private sector is a major contributor to the state budget and a pillar of the country’s economic and social development. During the meeting, the importance of public-private dialogue for the economic development of the country, and the measures that can be taken to promote foreign and local investments in Kosovo were discussed.
The importance of education in the overall development of the country was emphasized, as well as the contribution that the private sector and the diaspora can make in the various fields where the public sector is faced with a lack of sufficient human capacities.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed the willingness and interest of the government to deepen the public-private dialogue and to cooperate with the American Chamber of Commerce in the function of the country’s economic development.
