After arriving in the United States of America, last night, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with the Albanian community and our diaspora in Chicago.
In an open and friendly conversation, Prime Minister Kurti presented our diaspora there with the Government’s achievements during this term, the doubling of local exports and foreign investments, the strengthening of defense and security, as well as our further objectives for the development and future of Kosovo.
Among them, attention was singled out in sectors such as information technology, but also the energy sector and the transition to renewable energy. Scholarships for women and girls studying in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) were mentioned; but also the first auction held in the country for the construction of the solar power plant of 100 megawatts, in which a consortium with companies from Switzerland and Germany and our diaspora was the winner.
Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that the democratic and economic progress that our country has known has influenced turning Kosovo into an attractive place for bringing investments, where our diaspora has more opportunities to contribute directly to the development of the country.
Thanking them for the meeting, the conversation and the ideas exchanged, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that emigration plays an important role in our plans for sustainable economic development.
