Full speech of Prime Minister Kurti:

Honourable colleagues from the Government, ministers and deputy ministers,
Honourable President of the Kosovo Olympic Committee,
Honourable Mayor of Pristina,
Honourable members of the Organizing Committee of the Mediterranean Games Prishtina 2030,
Honourable representatives of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Albania,
Honourable attendees,
Ladies and gentlemen,

I appreciate you for participating in this first meeting of the Organizing Committee for the Mediterranean Games Prishtina 2030.

The Mediterranean Games Prishtina 2030 are one of the most important projects that Kosovo will implement in the coming years. For the first time, our country will welcome a sporting event of this magnitude, bringing together athletes, delegations and partners from different Mediterranean countries. For Kosovo, this is an extraordinary opportunity to prove our organizational capacity, to advance sports and sports infrastructure and to present our country to a wide international audience.

Prishtina 2030 is a joint project, of state and national importance, which requires long-term vision, close inter-institutional cooperation and commitment from each of us. Our success will not be measured only by the organization of sports events. It will be measured by how we build stronger institutions, develop modern infrastructure, build trust with our international partners and leave a lasting legacy for our country.

Precisely for this reason, the Organizing Committee of the Mediterranean Games has a special role. We are not here to represent separate institutions, but to act as a joint coordinating mechanism, where each institution contributes with its own responsibilities towards the common goal.

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo remains fully committed to ensuring that this process is conducted on the principles of inter-institutional cooperation, transparency, responsibility and the highest standards of management. This is the only way to build trust, guarantee continuity and ensure that every decision is in the interest of the success of the project.

I am convinced that each of us understands the responsibility we have taken. The Mediterranean Games Pristina 2030 are not just a sports project. They are a strategic state project and an opportunity to prove our ability to organize international events according to the highest standards.

Therefore, I expect our work to be characterized by cooperation, coordination, professionalism and institutional responsibility. Only in this way will we be able to successfully implement this project and represent the Republic of Kosovo with dignity.

Thank you all and I wish you good work.
