The Office of the Third Deputy Prime Minister for Minority Affairs and Cooperation, Fikrim Damka, yesterday launched a workshop with the Ashkali community, organized within the framework of the “Workshop on Coexistence and Inclusive Policies in Kosovo”. Under the motto “Joint Solutions for Common Challenges”, this workshop aims to create a direct discussion platform for non-majority communities in Kosovo.
The workshop, which will continue in the coming days, is conceived as a structured dialogue where each day will be thematically dedicated to a specific community. This process includes representatives from the Turkish, Serbian, Ashkali, Roma, Egyptian, Bosniak and Gorani communities.
The main goals of the forum, according to the program of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, the main objectives of these meetings are: Identifying challenges: Documenting systemic obstacles in vital areas such as education, employment, health and governance.
Also, drafting public policies based on evidence and direct experiences of communities. Strengthening dialogue: Promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between all communities living in Kosovo.
According to the foreseen agenda and expected results, with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Damka, there will be interactive sessions where the situation of each community is analyzed and concrete solutions are proposed for policymakers.
At the end of this process, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister will draft a comprehensive analytical report. This report will serve as a basis for future institutional and development initiatives, ensuring that the voice of each community is heard at the highest levels of governance.
