Prishtina, 29 September, 2025

Acting First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, welcomed the new Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Kosovo, Borut Blaj, to a meeting.

The Deputy Prime Minister initially congratulated the Ambassador on his new position, expressing his belief that cooperation will continue with the same success as with the Ambassador’s predecessor, Ms. Minca Benedejqiq.

They then discussed Kosovo’s European integration process. The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the State of Slovenia for its partnership and continued support for Kosovo on this journey, while expressing that our country continues to have the main objective and aim to obtain the status of a candidate country.

The Deputy Prime Minister also informed Ambassador Blaj about the dialogue process and the last meeting of the chief negotiators held in Brussels earlier this month, where Serbia’s destructiveness in the process, its withdrawal from the Basic Agreement and the Ohrid Annex, and the blocking of the formation of the Joint Commission on Enforced Disappearances were once again clearly seen.
