The Acting First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development, and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, welcomed the 14th round of scholarship holders from the Young Cell Scheme (YCS), together with the Acting Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Bardhyl Dobra, and the Ambassador of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Aivo Orav.
The scholarship holders, who have completed their academic studies at prestigious universities in Europe, are now returning to Kosovo as young professionals to serve and contribute within the public administration, enriching institutional knowledge with the experience they have gained during their studies.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi expressed his welcome to the young people joining the civil service, emphasizing the importance of dedication, commitment, and hard work throughout their engagement.
He added that the Government will continue to support this program, which provides opportunities for young men and women and brings well-prepared staff into the public administration.
The scholarship holders have completed studies in various key sectors and will continue their service in ministries and public institutions according to their fields and areas of specialization. Seven of them will serve in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora; eleven in the field of European integration, within the relevant departments of the Office of the Prime Minister and line ministries; nine in the field of justice, in the legal units of the respective ministries; and five in public administration and human resources, who will be engaged in the Department for the Management of Civil Servants at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The YCS project is funded by the EU’s IPA funds, with contributions also from the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
