The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Hashim Thaci sends message of condolences to U.S. President Barack Obama and the American people after tragedy of the Washington Navy Yard shooting, which caused a number of killed and wounded.
The message reads:
Esteemed President Obama,
It was with great sorrow that we learned of the tragic event that took place in Washington, where a number of U.S. citizens lost their lives.
The loss of lives in the Navy Yard has caused grief amongst friends of the United States of America, and Kosovo joins you in mourning.
The people of Kosovo and their institutions stand by the U.S. administration, the American people and especially the families of the victims.
We express our faith and hope that the U.S. will find the strength to overcome this tragedy, and bring the culprits to justice.
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and Kosovo’s citizens, I express my deepest condolences.
