The promotion of the book “The Art of Power: Linguistic Acts in Albanian Political Discourse” by author Majlinda Bregasi took place at the National Library of Kosovo. The event was attended by the acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, as well as the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Albulena Haxhiu.
Also present at the event was the Professor of Linguistics at the University of Florence, Leonardo M. Savoia, who also wrote the foreword to this book. Prime Minister Kurti congratulated the author Majlinda Bregasi on the publication of this book and the analyses presented in her study.
Majlinda Bregasi is a linguist and writer and currently directs the Institute of Italian Language and Culture at the University of Prishtina, as well as a member of the National Council of Science in Kosovo and a professor of Italian, Latin and Albanian. The author has also published other books such as “Albanica Latina”, “Stina e pestë” and “Gërsheti i prerë”.
