Prishtina, 26 January 2026
The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Acting Deputy Minister, Taulant Kelmendi, welcomed the students of the Kosovo Team at the NEO Science Olympiad, which was held in Orlando, United States of America.
Among 300 students from 30 countries, our students from grades III to XII won a total of 16 medals, of which six gold, three silver and seven bronze, and also took seven places in the category “Best of the best”, in the competitions in mathematics, science, biology, chemistry, coding and artificial intelligence.
Prime Minister Kurti and Deputy Minister Kelmendi congratulated the students and teachers on this extraordinary success and gave full institutional support in their scientific and professional journey. During the meeting, the students shared their best memories and experiences during their stay in Orlando and participation in this international olympiad.
At the 277th meeting of the Government, the government cabinet had allocated 25,925 euro for the participation of the Kosovo Team in the NEO Science Olympiad, namely the participation of 15 students in the NEO Science and Coding Olympiad, planned to be held in Orlando, USA, from 10 January until 15 January 2026.
