The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed today in a meeting the new Finnish Ambassador to Kosovo, Eevamari Laaksonen, to whom he wished a welcome and success in her new assignment.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for Finland’s continued support for Kosovo, before, during and after the declaration of independence, appreciating its contribution through FINNIDA, as well as its support for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic journey.
He emphasized the democratic and economic progress of the Republic of Kosovo, as one of the most advanced democracies in the Western Balkans and as a country fully aligned with the foreign and security policy of the European Union.
Thanking Finland for its support in state-building and strengthening of democratic institutions, the Prime Minister expressed his commitment to deepening cooperation in the fields of education, innovation and technology, as well as defense and security.
