Bardhosh, Prishtina, 30 June, 2025
The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the acting Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, today laid the foundation stone for a new kindergarten in Bardhosh, in the Municipality of Prishtina, in the next government investment in early education.
The kindergarten will have an accommodation capacity of up to 120 children, with a total area of 1552 square meters, with two floors. The investment value is close to 1.17 million euros. The works are expected to be completed within 36 months.
Prime Minister Kurti said that the construction of this nursery school is good news for parents and children, since scientific studies show that early childhood education is extremely important for the intellectual, emotional development and professional career of children.
“We are committed to education because the dignity of people, harmony in society, health in the family depend so much on education and on education. Early education is not something that the family should bear the burden for alone, but it should share this burden with the state, and the state, by reducing the burden, also contributes to the quality of education,” he said.
This in Bardhosh marks the 71st kindergarten that has been built, is being built or is in the procurement process during this government mandate. The total value of the investment is 40 million euros. For comparison, from 2003 to 2021, only four kindergartens were built with central government investment.
The groundbreaking ceremony was also attended by the Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama.
