Investments in electrical energy efficiency are inaugurated at the Secondary School of Economics “Isa Boletini” and at the school “Shefki Kuleta” in the Municipality of Podujeva

Podujeva, 4 February 2026

Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, and the Mayor of the Municipality of Podujeva, Shpejtim Bulliqi, attended the inauguration ceremony for investments in electrical energy efficiency in two schools in the Municipality of Podujeva: the Secondary School of Economics “Isa Boletini” and the school “Shefki Kuleta”.

After the renovation at the school “Isa Boletini”, Prime Minister Kurti said that the total investment is 350 thousand euros, covering about 3 thousand square meters, for over 1,000 students, with about 100 teachers, during which the windows were replaced, completely new ones were installed, the roof and walls were also insulated, while heating was optimized.

Prime Minister Kurti thanked Minister Rizvanolli and the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund, who have worked in a dedicated manner, meeting every deadline as we had envisaged to come to this day on which we hold this inauguration so valuable for the school “Isa Boletini”.

Minister Rizvanolli said that the school “Isa Boletini” is one of four schools in which we are investing in Podujeva through the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund to increase energy efficiency, and these are among 17 schools in four different municipalities of Kosovo that are being renovated through a fund that the Government of Kosovo allocated about two years ago.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Podujeva, Shpejtim Bulliqi, thanked Prime Minister Kurti, Minister Rizvanolli, and also the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund for the investments made in this municipality, while stressing that we are working more and more every day to create the most suitable conditions possible for students for teaching and learning.

Meanwhile, from the school “Shefki Kuleta” in Ternava of Podujeva, Prime Minister Kurti said that this is evidence that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo does not support through renovation of schools and other public facilities only large cities or municipal centers, but also villages everywhere, so that we have equality for all children who become students and one day, as successful professionals, will also be drivers of the economic development of our country.

135 students in Ternava of Podujeva will now have suitable, modern conditions for learning, with about 700 square meters of total space of this school, which will now have new windows, has the roof and walls insulated, and heating optimization has also been carried out.

Prime Minister Kurti’s address at the school “Isa Boletini” in Podujeva:

So, we are here in Podujeva at the school “Isa Boletini”, together with the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, with the Mayor, Shpejtim Bulliqi, and with the school director, Muhamet Sejdiun, on the occasion of the inauguration of the school’s renovation which has resulted in warmer premises, appropriate lighting, and also high security.

There are about 3 thousand square meters here, therefore it is a large school with over 1 thousand students and about 100 teachers, who will now have modern conditions for teaching and learning.
This concerns a total of 4 schools in Podujeva in which we have invested, as the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, 750 thousand euros, but also the same amount, thus a total of 1.5 million, also with the support of the European Union.

Our aim is that as much as possible, children, students and youth have conditions for quality education and in this way be prepared for their career advancements, for their progress and their professional and personal development, and thus contribute both to themselves, to their families, and to our state and economy.

I thank Minister Rizvanolli very much, as well as the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund, who have worked in a dedicated manner, meeting every deadline as we had envisaged to come to this day on which we hold this inauguration so valuable for the school “Isa Boletini”.

Allow me once again to emphasize that at the secondary school of economics “Isa Boletini” in Podujeva, the total investment is 350 thousand euros, about 3 thousand square meters, for over 1,000 students, with about 100 teachers, during which the windows were replaced, completely new ones were installed, the roof and walls were also insulated, while heating was optimized, which has a capacity of 300kw.

Prime Minister Kurti’s address at the school “Shefki Kuleta” in Podujeva:

135 students here in Ternava of Podujeva will have suitable, modern conditions for learning, so that education is of quality and also the opportunities are modern for both students and teachers.

About 700 square meters is the total area of this school, which, as the official of the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund said, will now have new windows, has the roof and walls insulated, and heating optimization has also been done for less capacity, currently about 90 kw, we will have more heating for all these students here.

The lighting has also been changed and all this has cost about 145 thousand euros. It is evidence that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo does not support through renovation of schools and other public facilities only large cities or only municipal centers, but also villages everywhere, so that we have equality for all children who become students and one day, as successful professionals, will also be drivers of the economic development of our country.

I thank Director Xhemajli very much, Mayor Shpejtim, Minister Artane and the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund for the cooperation and for this renovated school, which we inaugurated today.
