Dear citizens of Kosovo,
In this traditional holiday, on New Year’s Eve, it is my honor and pleasure, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to wish the warmest congratulations to all citizens of Kosovo.
I wish a Happy New Year to all the children of Kosovo, who are the ones that enjoy holidays the most, especially the New Year’s Eve and its exciting and unique atmosphere.
I wish a Happy New Year to the youth of Kosovo, who comprise the vast majority of our society and who despite difficulties, never lost their optimism and good will in relation to Kosovo.
I wish a Happy New Year to all the parents, sisters, and brothers throughout Kosovo, and to our entire fellow citizen in the Diaspora.
I also wish a Happy New Year to our international friends who are helping Kosovo move forward.
Dear citizens,
The Republic of Kosovo is concluding another successful year despite the difficulties it encountered.
We signed the Stabilization and Association Agreement, which marks Kosovo’s biggest step within the integration process for the country’s development.
We have made major reforms that pave the way for sustainable growth and employment in the coming years.
We have provided pensions to KLA veterans; we have significantly increased the social assistance and the pensions of our contribution-paying parents, who, with tremendous sacrifices, brought us where we stand today.
Optimism, good will, love, and solidarity for one another remain prominent in our country.
Dear citizens,
Over the year we faced challenges and unpredictable situations. We witnessed heavy political tensions.
I am confident that it is the right time we go back to our impressive tradition of political unity and consensus at this important time for our country.
The things that unite us outnumber those that divide us.
We are in the verge of visa liberalization, and advancing other Euro-Atlantic integration processes, for the transformation of KSF to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kosovo.
Friendly countries, lead by the USA, are making every effort to make Kosovo a member of the United Nations.
Beloved brothers and sisters,
I am confident that the New Year 2016 will be a year of work, hope, and faith. A year of understanding!
Now is the right moment to reflect together, and with the same willpower that enabled us to win the freedom and create our state, to commit making the Republic of Kosovo a worthy member of the great European family.
Dear fellow citizens of my country, I am pleased to wish you from the bottom of my heart, a Happy New Year 2016!
