Prime Minister Kurti Paid Condolence Visit to the Family of National Cause Activist Ekrem Jashari

Ferizaj, 27 June 2025

The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with members of his cabinet and deputies of the Assembly, visited the Jashari family to offer condolences for the passing of national cause activist Ekrem Jashari.

He expressed his sincerest condolences to the family and friends for the loss of their beloved. Speaking about the late Jashari, the Prime Minister said he was a selfless activist and tireless worker for the national cause, and that his ideals—for the freedom of the people, the progress of the Republic, and the unity of the nation—will live on with every generation to come.

Ekrem Jashari passed away on June 22. He was one of the founders of the Kosovo Liberation Army in Ferizaj and a well-known and respected figure of the national cause.

Prime Minister Kurti’s Note in the Book of Remembrance:

Uncle Ekrem was a selfless activist and tireless worker for the national cause. The freedom of the people, the advancement of the Republic, and the unification of the nation are his ideals that will live on, be elevated, and fulfilled by every generation after him.
