The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Finnish Parliament, Johannes Koskinen.
They discussed the deepening of bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of common interest. The Prime Minister emphasized that our country has experienced democratic progress and economic growth during this governing mandate. He highlighted the progressive policies and socio-economic reforms that have also brought about the doubling of exports and foreign direct investments, low inflation and increased employment.
The Prime Minister emphasized Kosovo’s commitment to implementing reforms within the framework of the European agenda and the EU Growth Plan, as well as the advancement in European integration over the last four years, while our country continues to align its foreign policy in general with that of the European Union, strongly condemning the unjustified Russian aggression against Ukraine and imposing sanctions on the Russian Federation.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked Finland for its support for Kosovo in relation to its membership in international organizations. He expressed the goals for integration into the EU and NATO, while also appreciating Finland’s support in the framework of Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe. The Prime Minister also emphasized Kosovo’s objective for inclusion and membership in the Adriatic Charter.
