The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met on the sidelines of the Paris Peace Forum with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the French National Assembly, Bruno Fuchs.
Advancing Kosovo’s path towards the European Union was one of the points of discussion, where the Prime Minister said that the time has come to take into consideration and receive the deserved attention to our December 2022 membership application, in order to proceed with the receiving of the questionnaire and the status of the candidate country.
Prime Minister Kurti also emphasized the importance of completing the last remaining steps regarding Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe, as our country will be an added democratic value of this organization.
The meeting also discussed the deepening of bilateral relations and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation. The Prime Minister also emphasized the need for the complete lifting of measures against Kosovo, while the gradual lifting has begun and it is more than a year since the former EU High Representative, Josep Borrell, recommended their lifting.
