Prime Minister Kurti met with the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos

The next meeting of the acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, was held with the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos.

The economic progress and democratic advancement of the country, which are key on our path towards the European Union, were discussed. The European Commission’s Country Report for 2025 showed that Kosovo has continued to make progress in European integration. No country in the Western Balkans was more prepared at the time of receiving the status of candidate country, therefore Kosovo’s democratic progress deserves to be assessed with this status.

The meeting also discussed the geopolitical situation, the Growth Plan, regional cooperation and current affairs. Regarding regional cooperation, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that Kosovo plays an active and constructive role and supports the broader economic integration of the region based on the values ​​and standards of the European Union.
