Prime Minister Kurti met with the third generation of the Citizen Diplomacy Program

Pristina, 9 June 9, 2025

The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Liza Gashi, hosted the third generation of the Citizen Diplomacy Program.

They had their first meeting together in October last year, at the beginning of the program’s launch. This week, the members of the Citizen Diplomacy Program complete their 10-month journey of engagement in Kosovo institutions.

Prime Minister Kurti congratulated them on these successful months, expressing that the Citizen Diplomacy Program remains one of the most important initiatives of our government for the diaspora. He continued by saying that through this program, the scholarship holders have had the opportunity to bring their knowledge and skills to the service of the further development of our public institutions and the deepening of their connection with Kosovo, but also to benefit from the experience of these months.

The scholarship holders, for their part, shared their experiences of this experience, the challenges they have faced and their goals for the future through the “Citizen Diplomacy Fellowship Alumni Association”. Some of them emphasized their desire to continue working in Kosovo even after the end of the program, while others have already made plans to continue their stay in the country.

Prime Minister Kurti thanked them for their work, dedication and commitment, and wished them success in their further journeys after this program.
