Prime Minister Kurti met with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, David Baker

The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met tonight with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for European and NATO Policy, David Baker, accompanied by the Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the United States of America in Kosovo, Anu Prattipati, at a working dinner hosted by the acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci.

Bilateral relations between Kosovo and the United States of America and cooperation in the field of defense were among the key topics of discussion.

Prime Minister Kurti informed Deputy Assistant Secretary Baker about the developments and progress in the country, investments in defense during this mandate and the need to increase trade exchanges and increase investments. He thanked Mr. Baker and the United States of America for the vital support they have provided to the Republic of Kosovo and the Kosovo Security Force over the years, as well as for its continued role in security and peace.

The Prime Minister also expressed the readiness and full willingness of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to further strengthen relations with the United States in the field of defense, including the defense industry.

At this dinner, alongside the Prime Minister, were the Acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, and the Director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Petrit Ajeti.
