Prishtina, 18 June 2025
Today, the Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with the Head of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Anna Rostocka.
They discussed the cooperation and the outcomes of the project implemented by the IOM with support from the Embassies of the United Kingdom and Switzerland in Kosovo, which has strengthened government processes concerning the rights of non-majority communities.
This project in particular has enabled the creation of a digital platform by the Office for Community Affairs within the Office of the Prime Minister, as well as a biweekly bulletin promoting the opportunities offered by the government for non-majority communities. It has also supported the diploma verification process for the University in North Mitrovica, which has thus far enabled 381 graduates to apply for positions in the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, and it has assisted in the implementation of the Law on the Use of Languages by
strengthening the capacities of translators.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked Ms. Rostocka for IOM’s support and expressed readiness to continue cooperation for shared goals in service of non-majority communities.
