During his stay in Paris, within the framework of the Paris Peace Forum, the Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, held a bilateral meeting with the President of the Chamber of Representatives of Belgium, Peter De Roover.
The meeting focused on the bilateral relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Kingdom of Belgium, cooperation in areas of common interest, and recent developments in the country and the region.
Prime Minister Kurti informed President De Roover about Kosovo’s economic achievements, including the steady economic growth averaging 6% over the past four years and the doubling of foreign direct investment, as well as the favorable conditions and advantages the country offers for foreign investors.
He highlighted the significant investments made by the government in the agriculture and defense sectors, as well as the reforms undertaken in social welfare policies.
They also discussed Kosovo’s path toward the European Union. Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the importance and positive impact of visa liberalization for the citizens of Kosovo and the application for EU membership submitted in December 2022 as an important step demonstrating the country’s commitment to democratic reforms and European integration.
