Prime Minister Kurti met with the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, Christophe Kamp

The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, this morning welcomed the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, Christophe Kamp, on his first visit to Kosovo after his appointment in December 2024.

Prime Minister Kurti thanked Commissioner Kamp for the long-standing engagement of the OSCE in Kosovo and highlighted the progress achieved in the areas of human rights, democratization and security. The Prime Minister highlighted the country’s development as one of the most advanced democracies in the Western Balkans and its commitment to economic growth and social well-being and security.

Further, Prime Minister Kurti underlined the constitutional and legal framework of the Republic of Kosovo that guarantees rights and representation for communities, beyond international standards, emphasizing the need for these rights to be used for integration. He expressed the readiness of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to strengthen cooperation with the OSCE.

The Prime Minister was accompanied at this meeting by the Ambassador of Kosovo to the Netherlands, Dren Doli.
