The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted a lunch for the Chargé d’Affaires at the US Embassy in Kosovo, Anu Prattipati, and her staff on Thanksgiving Day.
This joint Thanksgiving lunch between officials from the Government of Kosovo and the US Embassy is now in its second year, with the goal of becoming a long-standing tradition.
The lunch included many of the foods traditionally served during a Thanksgiving dinner. This holiday has been celebrated in the United States for nearly 400 years and was declared an annual national holiday by President Lincoln in 1863.
It provides a good opportunity to express gratitude for the relationship we share, which continues to deepen. Relations with the United States are built on shared values, gratitude, and mutual respect. This year, in order to strengthen our bilateral relations, we have decided on 0% tariffs on American goods, reached an agreement on the temporary accommodation of third-country nationals, and made significant defense procurements.
