Today, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with the Auditor General, Ms. Vlora Spanca. On this occasion, Ms. Spanca congratulated the Prime Minister on his new governing mandate and expressed her readiness to continue institutional cooperation in order to strengthen accountability and transparency in the public sector.
During the meeting, the Auditor General informed the Prime Minister about the institution’s engagements and efforts to enhance its performance, highlighting the progress achieved in professionalism, independence, and the implementation of auditing standards. She underlined that public trust in the Office of the Auditor General has increased significantly, from 33% at the beginning of the mandate to 77% currently.
Ms. Spanca reaffirmed her commitment for the institution to continue carrying out its mission with integrity, impartiality, and professionalism, ensuring effective oversight of public spending and contributing to the strengthening of the rule of law and increasing citizens’ trust in the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
