The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, attended the event marking the 10th anniversary of the partnership between the German car brand Mercedes-Benz and the company Auto Kaçandolli.
In his opening remarks, Prime Minister Kurti said that the story of Auto Kaçandolli began much earlier, as a modest car repair workshop back in the 1960s, and that today we are not only celebrating 10 years of representing Mercedes-Benz, but also over 65 years of work, dedication, and success. “A story that did not begin with luxury cars, but with a hammer, a sheet of metal, and a great dream — a dream that has now become a reality through the official representation of one of the world’s most famous brands,” said the Prime Minister.
Summarizing the company’s inspiring journey as one of vision, work, and commitment, Prime Minister Kurti said that today, with 75 employees, Auto Kaçandolli stands as a great example of how professionalism and work ethics can elevate a Kosovar business to such a high level and international standards.
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, he thanked the company’s representatives for their contribution to the domestic economy and for the positive image they represent both inside and outside the country.
Full speech of Prime Minister Kurti:
Dear Kaçandolli brothers and colleagues of Auto Kaçandolli,
Distinguished guests, friends, and partners,
Ladies and gentlemen,
It is a pleasure to be here with you tonight to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the representation of the German car brand Mercedes-Benz by the company Auto Kaçandolli.
However, the story of Auto Kaçandolli began much earlier, as we saw in this short documentary film — as a modest car repair workshop in the 1960s, founded by two brothers: Shaqir and Rexhep Kaçandolli. Shaqir was the father of the three brothers who are now co-owners of the company: Skënder, Valdet, and Fitim.
So, we are not only celebrating 10 years of representing Mercedes-Benz, but also over 65 years of commitment and success. A story that did not begin with luxury cars, but with a hammer, a piece of sheet metal, and a great dream — one that today has become a reality through the official representation of one of the most renowned brands of all time.
Now, in this new and beautiful showroom, this inspiring journey can be summed up in three words: vision, work, and dedication. Today, with 75 employees, Auto Kaçandolli is a fine example of how professionalism and work ethics can elevate a Kosovar business to such a high level and international standards.
With a touch of humor, we all know that classic story about used car dealers from abroad who say: “Only an old lady used to drive this car, and even then she only went as far as the supermarket with her cat along!” But here at Kaçandolli, there’s no need for such marketing gymnastics — here, the cars come straight from the showroom! From jokes to reality, brothers Kaçandolli and sisters Mevgize and Makfirete, your success is undeniable, just like the quality you bring among us.
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, I thank you for your contribution to the domestic economy, for the jobs you create, and for the good image you represent both inside and outside our country.
I wish you many more decades of success — with cars and engines that run smoothly when they leave here, and customers who always return with a smile.
Congratulations!
