The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed members of the Austrian association “Forchheimer Kreis”, among whom were also present the President of this association, politician Josef Höchtl, and the MEP and friend of Kosovo, Lukas Mandl.
At this meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the achievements of the government during this governmental mandate, highlighting the economic growth with an average of 6% in the last four years, the doubling of exports and foreign direct investments, the increase in employment, and the tripling of the defense budget.
These achievements show that we have a consolidated democracy, with policies that are working, which are focused on social justice, transparency, the rule of law and opportunities for all.
The Prime Minister added that Kosovo is ranked among the safest countries to live and invest in all of Europe according to Gallup and Henley, and also, our country is being internationally recognized as the fastest reformer in the rule of law and democracy in our region. These are a reflection of a society that believes in justice and inclusiveness and of a government that leaves no one behind.
Following the conversation, the situation in the region, security, investments in infrastructure and reforms in public administration were discussed in more detail. The Prime Minister wished the members of the association a successful and productive stay in this two-day visit to our country, while emphasizing that our historical ties, cultural proximity and our common values make Austria one of our closest partners.
