The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, expressed his condolences to the Bukoshi family, following the great loss of the former Prime Minister, Dr. Bujar Bukoshi.
Through a telegram of condolence, the Prime Minister wrote that the political commitment of Dr. Bujar Bukoshi and the generation of politicians to which he belonged, has a special value among the modern generations of Albanian policymakers.
“Dr. Bujar Bukoshi has made a separate place for his personality in the new political history of Kosovo, about which historians will write in their studies of the history of Kosovo, as they will also write about the era when he acted together with others,” the Prime Minister said.

Dear Bukoshi family,
I sincerely hope that this telegram finds you strong and united around the many and good memories that your family member, Mr. Bujar Bukoshi, has left behind.
It was truly saddening for me as well as for my colleagues and members of my government cabinet, to hear the news of the death of Dr. Bujar Bukoshi. A multitude of memories and episodes of experiences came back to my mind, especially from the period of the 1990s of the last century, a time when Dr. Bukoshi was Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo.
As a government in exile, the government led by Dr. Bukoshi was an extraordinary government, but it was naturally extraordinary, since its historical context was also built by the circumstances of a completely extraordinary time, as was our state at that time, the Republic of Kosovo, as the first republic and as a republic of resistance. Precisely because of the circumstances and conditions so difficult to act politically in Kosovo in the last decade of the 20th century, the political engagement of Dr. Bujar Bukoshi and the generation of politicians to which he belonged has a special value among the modern generations of Albanian policymakers.
Dr. Bujar Bukoshi has made a special place for his personality in the new political history of Kosovo, about which historians will write in their studies of the history of Kosovo, as they will also write about the era in which he acted together with others.
Dear Bukoshi family, please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Dr. Bujar Bukoshi. May you be blessed with good health and may you live long enough to be remembered for generations, as the people of Kosovo will remember him for his contribution.
