Paris, 29 October 2025
Last night, the acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, was the guest of honor at a dinner hosted by the Paris Diplomatic Circle, attended by prominent figures from France’s diplomatic, political, and economic circles. He expressed his gratitude for the invitation, extended on the eve of the Paris Peace Forum — an event that gathers leaders from around the world.
In his address to the attendees, the Prime Minister spoke about the importance of solidarity and cooperation among democratic countries in further advancing our societies and facing common challenges. He underlined the need and significance of ensuring that, in Europe’s journey forward, values and interests always move hand in hand.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the commitment and added value of Kosovo’s and the entire Western Balkans’ membership in the European Union and NATO. He stated that the accession of the Western Balkans to the European Union is in the economic and security interest of the EU itself and its member states. In this regard, he added that he is among those who believe that the EU’s external enlargement and its internal reforms go hand in hand. “Only a Europe willing to reform from within can expand outward, and only a Europe ready to expand outward can successfully reform from within; external enlargement and internal reform are at once opportunities and preconditions for each other,” the Prime Minister said.
Today, Prime Minister Kurti is participating in the eighth edition of the Paris Peace Forum, at the invitation of the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron.
