Concentrix inaugurated its new center in Prizren

Prizren, 25 June 2025

Today, the Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, attended the opening of Concentrix’s second center in the country this month. Following the opening in Mitrovica, Concentrix has now launched its center in Prizren.

In his opening remarks, Prime Minister Kurti stated that today’s event and this steady growth are not only a success for the company, but also a clear signal of confidence in the business and economic climate of our country.

“Over the past four years, our government has undertaken important reforms to lay the foundations for a sustainable, transparent, and business-friendly economy. Through legislative initiatives, we have created legal security and institutional clarity that companies need to operate without obstacles. At the same time, we are investing in physical and digital infrastructure. Roads, energy, internet coverage, and e-services are expanding throughout the country,” he said, emphasizing that the main objective is to build economic policies that make Kosovo competitive, reliable, and attractive for international investment.

Following the opening of Concentrix in early June in the city of Mitrovica, which was also attended by Prime Minister Kurti, he said that with the opening of the new center today in Prizren, Concentrix is deepening and expanding its presence in Kosovo—creating new jobs and actively contributing to the development of a modern service economy in our cities. This expansion is taking place at a time of positive macroeconomic trends. “In the first quarter of this year, Kosovo’s economy grew by 3.6% of Gross Domestic Product. We see this growth reflected in increased employment, investment, tourism, exports, and most importantly, in the growing confidence that Kosovo is a place where ideas, people, and businesses can thrive,” the Prime Minister stated.

Among other things, he noted that one of our country’s greatest assets is its young, multilingual, and tech-savvy workforce, and that to further strengthen it, we are investing in vocational training, STEM fields in higher education, and cooperating with the private sector.
“A big thank you for your trust, investment, and commitment to Kosovo,” concluded Prime Minister Kurti.

Full speech of Prime Minister Kurti:

Dear representatives of Concentrix,
Dear Mr. Till Jelinek,
Dear Mr. Derler,
Ladies and gentlemen,

It is a pleasure to be with you today in Prizren – a city of rich heritage and a future built on innovation, knowledge, and commitment.

Just a few weeks ago, we stood together in Mitrovica to inaugurate a new Concentrix site. Today, we meet again in Prizren, celebrating yet another milestone in your expansion across Kosova. This steady growth is not only a success for your company – it is a clear signal of confidence in Kosova’s business and economic climate.

Over the past four years, our government has undertaken significant reforms to lay the foundation for a stable, transparent, and business-friendly economy. Through legislative initiatives, we have created the legal certainty and institutional clarity that companies need to operate without disruption.

We are focused on ensuring a level playing field for all – with predictable regulations. Our foremost aim is to build economic policy aimed at making Kosova competitive, reliable, and attractive for international investment.

In parallel, we are investing in both physical and digital infrastructures. Roads, energy, internet connectivity – and e-services – are being expanded across the country. We are also strengthening investor protection, ensuring that foreign and domestic businesses alike can grow with confidence.

But we are also looking further ahead, to position Kosova for the industries of the future.

From business services and IT outsourcing to clean energy and digital finance, Kosova is building an ecosystem for innovation-led growth. Our young, multilingual, tech-savvy workforce is one of our greatest assets. And we are working to continuously strengthen it through investments in vocational training, STEM education, and close collaboration with the private sector.

The BPO sector plays a vital role in this strategy. It brings global services to local communities, creates modern and well-paying jobs, and fosters a work culture that is dynamic, cooperative, inclusive, and future-oriented.

Today, Concentrix is deepening its presence in Kosova, not only by creating new jobs but by actively contributing to the development of a modern service economy in our cities. You are helping shape a new work culture – one that gives people opportunities in the cities they love.

This expansion comes at a time of encouraging macroeconomic trends: in the first quarter of this year, Kosova’s economy grew by 3.6% of GDP. We see this growth reflected in rising employment, investments, tourism, exports, and most importantly, in the growing belief that Kosova is a place where ideas, people, and businesses can thrive.

Dear guests,

We remain committed to close cooperation – between government, the private sector, and civil society – to build an economy that is fair, sustainable, and open to the world.

For your trust, your investment, and your commitment to Kosova a big thank you.

Vielen dank und prost!
