Chaired by the Prime Minister, Mr. Isa Mustafa, Government of the Republic of Kosovo held its seventeenth regular meeting, whereby adopted the proposal for amending the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.
First Deputy Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci, in front of the Cabinet said that with this amendment are being fulfilled the obligations undertaken by the Assembly and Government last year, for the establishment of the Special Court.
New amendments include amendments arising from the fulfilment of international obligations regarding the Report of the General Assembly and the Council of Europe, Document 12462, dated January 7, 2011. According to this, the Republic of Kosovo may establish specialized chamber, with the Office of Specialized Prosecutor within the justice system of the Republic of Kosovo. The organization, functioning and jurisdiction of the Specialized Chambers and Specialized Prosecutor Office shall be regulated by a special law.
“It is an obligation that we have taken towards the international community and by the exchange correspondence between the President of Kosovo with Baroness Ashton. Even today, we evaluate, and appreciate it that it is the right decision the performance of such obligations, in order to light the truth about allegations of unfair that they have made to Kosovo, and Kosovo to remove this burden from their shoulders, or this black cloud that is standing on the state of Kosovo. Therefore, considering these circumstances, and obligations arising from the decision of the Assembly, we consider that the Government of Kosovo to submit to the Presidency of the Assembly and then the Presidency of the Constitutional Court the amendment of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, stressed “Deputy Prime Minister Thaci.
During the meeting was also approved the Draft Law on legal protection and financial support to potential persons charged in judicial processes at the Specialized Chambers.
The Deputy Prime Minister Thaci said that the main purpose of this Draft Law is legal protection and financial support of potential accused persons in judicial proceedings and procedures relating to alleged crimes by the Specialized Chamber.
During this meeting, the Cabinet has approved the Draft Law on Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Government of the United States of America to improve tax compliance regulations at international level and implementation of regulations FATCA.
Also, Draft Regulation on the Code of Conduct in the Civil Service of the Republic of Kosovo was approved.

7. Visar Bytyçi, American Chamber of Commerce
Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, congratulated all teachers, professors, and education workers, on the occasion of 7th March – Teachers Day.
“Our wishes are to have a good school, to have a good lesson, to achieve success and become competitive with others. We know that is a sacrifice of all those working in education, but it is a sacrifice that achieved great results and with our pleasure to have generations more prepared and more educated, “said Prime Minister Mustafa.
At the miscellaneous point, the Minister of Interior Affairs, Skender Hyseni informed the Cabinet about participation in the White House Summit on combating violent extremism, invited by US Secretary of State, John Kerry, and on official visits to Italy and Germany.
