Welcome to the regular meeting of the Government. On Tuesday, we had the solemn meeting for the 18th anniversary of Independence. Today, on the first item on the agenda, we have the establishment of the State Council for the celebration of the 28th anniversary of the Epic of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
February is a month of state celebration and civic pride, March is a month of historical glory and honoring sacrifice. In the annual calendar, February comes before March, but in the calendar of our history, before February was March. Without March 5, 6 and 7, there would be no February 17, without the sacrifice of the Jashari family, there would be no state holiday of the Republic, without the Kosovo Liberation Army’s fight for freedom, there would be no parade of our army to freedom.
At today’s meeting, the draft law for the ratification of the Agreement on Access to Higher Education and Admission to Studies in the Western Balkans, which stems from the Berlin Process, awaits our approval. Through it, after ratification in the Assembly and when implementation begins, access and admission of students to public institutions of higher education is facilitated, because administrative obstacles are removed and academic standards are brought closer between the six Western Balkan countries.
We will also put to a vote the legislative agenda for the coming years. Among other things, it includes the Draft Law on the State Bureau for the Confiscation of Unjustified Assets and the new Draft Law on Price Ceilings: both our commitments, both needs of the country and citizens, which are being completed and are being fulfilled very quickly.
Also on the agenda is the establishment of two new local public enterprises: “Fushë Kosova” JSC, the first in the Municipality of Fushë Kosova, and “EKO Drenasi” JSC, which will provide maintenance of public spaces and buildings.
