Three partite group for implementation of agreement on return of cadastral files meets

In order to launch the full implementation of the agreement reached in the technical dialogue between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia on the return of cadastral files, the second meeting of the tripartite group took place in Belgrade yesterday composed of cadastral experts from the Republic of Kosovo, from Serbia and the European Union as chair of the group. 

The delegation of the Kosovo experts briefed the participants in the meeting that so far they have carried out their obligations from the operational plan of date 21 October 2011 and that these tasks have been completed in line with the foreseen dynamic. They also asked that Serbia too takes concrete steps for the implementation of the agreement. 

The Kosovo experts group expressed to be committed to implement the agreement in full compliance with European standards. Representatives from Kosovo professional agencies that were present in this meeting confirmed that they have all the necessary capacities and equipments for an immediate takeover of the files. They also reaffirmed their readiness to also address all the other problems that could come up in the process. 

Meanwhile the Serbian side reported delays in the preparation and submission of the list of cadastral files of before 1999  taken out of Kosovo and that there are also delays in the organization of visits to the cadastral centers in Serbia to see the current state of these files. These delays, according to them, will continue until the Government of Serbia issues a decision on the implementation of this agreement and then they will start with their implementation and provision of the full list and the organization of the visit. 

The group tasked with the implementation of the agreement on cadastral registries of Kosovo is composed of Gazmir Raci, Political Advisor to Deputy Prime Minister Edita Tahiri, also coordinator of the cadastral files group, Mr. Scott Bowen – Executive Director of the Kosovo Property Agency (KPA), Mr. Xhevat Azemi – Deputy Director, KPA, and experts from the Cadastral Agency of Kosovo, Mr. Qemajl Kadiri, Mr. Hajzer Bublaku and Mr. Reshat Murati.
