Dear Prime Minister Malielegoai,
The Government and citizens of Kosovo are honoured by the recognition that your state has given to the Republic of Kosovo.
Samoa is now one of the countries with developed democracy recognising Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state.
This recognition is one more encouraging step for the future of Kosovo as a democratic state, aiming for integration into euro-atlantic institutions and all organs where independent states have a place.
Kosovo will continue to be committed to democratic development, the cultivation of the best inter-ethnic relations internally and the growth of well-being for its citizens.
In external relations, Kosovo will deepen the cultivation of the best relations with neighbouring states, playing a constructive role in the region and more widely.
Once again I express our gratitude to the government and people of Samoa.
