The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, participated today in the inauguration of investments in the Elementary and Middle and Lower School, “Metush Krasniqi” in Rogana, Kamenica Municipality.
Investments made of over 1 million euros in the internal space of the school, in the external part as well as in the inventory, as stated by Prime Minister Kurti, will create excellent conditions for the 197 students, as well as the staff of 39 educational and professional employees.
“With a value of over 1 million euros, this project includes deep improvements in the interior spaces, worth 850 thousand euros and 165 thousand euros for the exterior of the school, as well as 36 thousand euros for the new inventory for quality learning” , Prime Minister Kurti announced.
Furthermore, he added, MAShTI and the Municipality of Kamenica will build two new nurseries in this municipality, including one in Rogana and the other in Koretina in the amount of 741 thousand euros, which is being built and is expected to be operational very quickly.
After cutting the ribbon and finishing the speech, Prime Minister Kurti took a close look at the interior, the exhibition with the works of the school students presented in the lobby of this school, as well as the cabinets where he watched the performance of the students.
The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, said that being here together today is a pleasure as well as a responsibility; pleasure, because we are inaugurating the new school facility “Metush Krasniqi” and responsibility, because as the Government and the Minister we try to do our best by being close to you and creating conditions for quality education.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of the Municipality of Kamenica, Kadri Rahimaj, said that the focus of this municipality will remain education, therefore the investment in this school was necessary.

It’s nice to meet you on this special day, at the inauguration of the complete renovation of the “Metush Krasniqi” Elementary School. This school with a long tradition, for 79 years, has served as a center of knowledge for generations of children from this area. As we are getting ready to enter the ninth decade, this school will continue to be the center of education and development of young generations from Rogana, Novosella, the Muhaxhere neighborhood, Kranidelli i Pošthem and the surrounding neighborhoods.
As in the Technological Park in Kamenica, which was also inaugurated this morning, the renovation that we are inaugurating today is an important investment for the future of Kamenica.
With a value of 1 million euros, this project includes deep improvements in the interior spaces worth 850 thousand euros, then close to 165 thousand euros for the exterior of the school, as well as 36 thousand euros for the new inventory for quality learning.
These improvements will create excellent conditions for the school’s 197 students, as well as the dedicated staff of 39 educational and professional employees, in which case I learned that there are 28 teachers, but there are also support staff, such as psychologists and speech therapists and assistants for children with special needs, thus providing a safer, more modern and more inspiring environment for learning.
From this school year, students will have the optimal conditions to develop their abilities and skills, to acquire knowledge and values, which will accompany them throughout their lives and careers.
Gratitude to the Municipality of Kamenica and the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation for their dedication. MASHTI and the Municipality of Kamenica have signed a memorandum of cooperation, as the mayor said, for the construction of the nursery here in Rogana, while the nursery in Koretina, worth 741 thousand euros, is being built and is expected to be operational very soon. With these two nurseries, more opportunities will be created for early childhood education, which is extremely important for later education and for the good life of every child as a citizen of our beloved Republic.
