The Government of the Republic of Kosovo is closely following developments in the village of Restelica in the municipality of Sharr (Dragash), where as a result of poor weather conditions and a snow avalanche, 9 people died and one is still missing.
The Government decided that tomorrow, Monday February 13, 2011, will be declared a Day of Mourning in the Republic of Kosovo.
The Government once again expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and re-emphasizes institutional commitment and determination to assist and save people who are at risk in these serious climatic conditions.
The Government thanks members of the Kosovo Security Force, the Kosovo Police, the fire service and all people who are sacrificing in order to help the people of Restelica.
