Roganë, March 10, 2025
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, and the Mayor of the Municipality of Kamenica, Kadri Rahimaj, laid the foundation stone of the new kindergarten in Roganë, Kamenica.
The new kindergarten building, co-financed by MESTI (90%) and the Municipality of Kamenica (10%), will have an area of 594 square meters. The construction works are expected to be completed in 12 months and overall, the kindergarten will have six classes with a capacity of 100 to 120 children in total.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Kurti said that it is very good news for the residents of Rogana and for the citizens of Kamenica in general, considering the importance of early childhood education.
“This investment in education and that in early childhood education, when more and more studies show that they are the decisive steps for the future advancement in the profession, in the career and for making the children, one day, intellectual citizens of the Republic of Kosovo”, he said.
This is the second kindergarten that is being built during this mandate, thus making Kamenica with a total of three kindergartens. As the Prime Minister highlighted, Mayor Rahimaj has only found one kindergarten in operation since 1981, which has been renovated, and now the kindergarten in Koretin and the current one in Rogana have also been added.
He congratulated all citizens, and in particular compatriots, who when they decide to return to Kamenica will have a kindergarten for their children.

We are here together with the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ms. Arbërie Nagavci and with the host, the Mayor of the Municipality of Kamenica, Kadri Rahimaj in Rogana, Kamenica, Dardana, to lay the foundation stone of a kindergarten, which will have approximately 600 square meters.
It will cost less than 650 thousand euros. The construction works will be carried out for one year, that is, for 12 months and there will be 6 classes with 100 to 120 children in total.
This is very good news for the residents of Rogana and for the citizens of Kamenica in general.
This investment in education and in early childhood education, when more and more studies show that they are the decisive steps for the future advancement in the profession, in the career and for making the children, one day, intellectual citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
This is the third kindergarten in Kamenica. Here, when Kadri Rahimaj took over the local government, he found only one kindergarten, since 1981. He renovated that kindergarten and has now added two more, one in Koretin and the other here in Roganë.
Congratulations to all the citizens and congratulations to all the compatriots, who when they decide to return to Kamenica will also have a kindergarten for their children.
There are 54 settlements in Kamenica, there was only one kindergarten in 1981. Now we have renovated it and started two more.
