The annual meeting with Sweden was held

In the building of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the annual meeting with Sweden took place. The Kosovo delegation was headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi.
Also participating were the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Faton Peci, the Deputy Minister of Local Government Administration, Arbër Vokrri, the Deputy Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Jeton Raka and other officials from government cabinets and civil officials.
On the other hand, the Swedish delegation was headed by the ambassador of Sweden in Kosovo, Jonas Westerlund, and other high representatives of the Swedish embassy in Kosovo were also participants.
During the meeting, Sweden’s contribution to the development of Kosovo, the overview of Sweden’s development cooperation strategy, as well as the priorities and focus areas for the period 2021-2027 were discussed. Existing and possible future projects and initiatives with an impact on human rights, democracy, rule of law, gender equality, inclusiveness, sustainable development and the environment, as well as economic development, were further discussed in more detail.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked the Swedish state for its continuous help and support for Kosovo. “Such annual meetings are an opportunity to deepen our partnership, since they serve to reflect the achievements so far, the challenges during the implementation of the projects as well as the discussion of the opportunities presented for the future,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
Next, he underlined the strategic goal of increasing the impact of various projects, connecting them with the reforms, which we are undertaking in the context of the European integration process and the country’s development.
