Cold winter but warm hearts, as we congratulate each other on the 17th anniversary of February 17, the declaration of Kosovo’s Independence, as a sovereign, democratic state, with territorial integrity, with social progress, with democratic advancement and with exemplary economic growth.
The economy of Kosovo is three times larger than it was 17 years ago. At the same time, we are also an example of security not only in the Balkan region, when we consider the rights of citizens, their well-being, popular enthusiasm and the successes of our Republic, which are successes of the people, institutions, but also of our partners, friends, allies from the United States of America to the European Union and the entire democratic West.
We can undoubtedly be proud that we have exacted justice for the sacrifice, the martyrdom of so many martyrs, the extraordinary contribution of both peaceful and armed resistance, the disabled and veterans of the KLA and all the activists, who stood by in difficult times, so that we could have good times.
