The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi today met in a meeting joint meeting with Mr. Nickolay Mladenov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Samuel Zbogar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Slovenia.

At this meeting Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi briefed the two ministers on the achievements of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in consolidating and strengthening the independent and democratic state of Kosovo, on the commitments for empowering good governance, transparency, the rule of law and order, the uncompromised combat against corruption and the organized crime, the vision for the sustainable economical development and commitments for the communities’ affirmative respect.

During this meeting, Prime Minister Thaçi expressed the determination of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo on the full implementation of the criteria and standards of European integration. In this context, Prime Minister Thaçi underscored that the Government of Kosovo has undertaken progressive steps in implementing the European agenda placing a special emphasis on meeting the visa liberalization criteria.

Speaking of the engagements of the Government of Kosovo in strengthening the rule of law throughout the territory of Kosovo, Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi assured that Kosovo institutions, in full partnership with the international community, will fully reinstate law and order in Kosovo’s north, thus opening the perspective for building a democratic life and economic development and of social welfare for our citizens in that part of the country as well.

Minister Mladenov and minister Zbogar, during the meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, highly regarded the bilateral relations between their two countries and the Republic of Kosovo and stated that their countries continue to support democratic and development processes in Kosovo as well as the journey towards the integration into the European Union.

Both ministers are attending the international conference “Germia Hill” which is taking place today and tomorrow with the participation of various diplomats of various countries of the region and of Europe.
