“The love for one’s homeland should be cultivated and it is never enough. Therefore, these state honors today are expressed in honor of the past, in honor of Jashari family and Legendary Commander Adem Jashari, of all the freedom martyrs, of the KLA war and of the sacrifice of all the citizens of Kosovo for freedom. Because, without fighting, we could not have had the freedom and all the citizens of Kosovo are its liberators,” said Prime Minister Thaçi expressing one more time the deep respect for all the freedom martyrs. “Without freedom we would not be able to achieve the development that we have today in the Republic of Kosovo,” said Mr. Thaçi

Asked to comment on a statement by a Kosovo political entity on the holiday of 28 of November, Prime Minister Thaçi said that the Flag Day and the Albanian Independence Day is above any political party, it is above any political profile, above any ideology. National holidays should bring us closer to one another and more respect and in no circumstance should anyone try to make an electoral campaign with the national flag and national holidays,” said Prime Minister Thaçi.
